I took this with a small Sony a6000, sitting on the table. When she came to the table to take our orders, and decided to give us old timers a hard time, I just lifted the lens and while I could barely see the screen, took a single frame. Of course I had to straighten the image but was pleased with the result. Yeah, she got a good tip, too.

You are making a good argument for carrying some kind of point and shoot besides my phone......... nice one.
Very good example of street photography, I might crop a bit off the bottom.
And the focus is perfect....damn!

Thanks! Well, I’d like to take some technical credit but it was on full auto, including focus . However, I have replaced the kit lens with a Sony 24-105 f/4 lens that is excellent... Mike

Very nice work Mike. Great expression on her face.

With some of my street photography today I was doing kind of similar with just letting my camera hang from my neck so it is about waist level and just aiming and pressing the shutter button.

Thanks! Yeah, I’ve tried that technique a couple times without much success. I’m more of an eyepiece guy but in a pinch the screen is ok... Mike
