Fishing with a Drone

Driving here in Nebraska I am in an area where there are lots and lots of small lakes off the side of the freeway. Just passed one and saw a few guys fishing.

So it made me wonder, could you tie a fishing line and hook onto a drone, and use it to fish?

(Oh where my mind goes on long drives) :)

I can think of a couple of reasons not to - first off is battery life vs. the amount of time folks typically wait for a bite. Second - how would you know if you had a bite? And of course you would need to know a bit about the fish in the water you are trying to catch - what if you actually got a big one with your little Mini 2? Could it pull the drone into the water while you were wishing you could guide it to shore?

This of course might be highly entertaining for folks watching the spectacle 😁

Hmmm... pulling over is not an option. ;)

You brought up some good points, a couple of little obstacles to overcome.

But on the other hand, a video of this could be highly entertaining as you said, and I am in desperate need of a video that can go viral on YouTube to help my FocalWorld channel go viral.. this could be my ticket!!
