Last few days have been mostly cloudy or just plain skies here. On Friday it was more of the former. It started getting really windy as the afternoon progressed and just before sunset a bit of clearing towards the west showed some serious colors. I debated sending the drone up with the heavy wind but the sunset was too much to pass up. Had it up for less than a minute before I came to my senses heeding the wind warning to bring it down.

I am glad you got it up for a minute. This is a really great image.

I am always surprised at how much wind the drone can resist. The worst I had was trying to get my drone to take off in a thunderstorm with about 40mph winds. The wind was blowing it sideways... I landed it immediately it was about an 8 sec flight.

Thanks Jim. This was my first time flying in winds where the screen of the controller was flashing wind warning and the inability for RTH to work. In hind sight it wasn't such a good idea to even launch it. I could feel the wind even at ground level.
