False Lily-of-the-Valley

I honestly did not know this plant was distinct from the more familiar Lily-of-the-Valley in domestic gardens but my plant reference guides have set me straight on what I shot this morning.

This is a nice batch of these plants in bloom along a trail I was on this morning at Cape Blanco State Park. This is a focus stack.

I sent my wife this image (she's the house gardener) and she immediately identified the differences between these and the real Lily-of-the-Valley's she grows. I thought they were Hostas until I tried to look them up to confirm the identification.

These look like Canada Mayflowers from the Midwest. What are they called in the West? They don't smell anywhere near as nice as Lilies-of-the-Valley. Nice job with the depth of field, Alan.

The descriptions I have for this one say it's specific to the Pacific coastline so not sure it's quite the same thing. Two names that appear also are snakeberry and two-leaved Solomon's seal.
