Fall Training

Today was likely the end of good fall leaf viewing with several storms queued up to spoil the show. I wandered up to Rooster Rock State Park and got some amazing aerial shots of fall colors. I have lived up here for 25 years now and I honestly can't recall a fall color show like what we just got over the last week.

This is one shot from today where I finally managed to catch a train at a nice bend in the tracks. I confess that this is really the back of the train as it went past but it was the easiest way to get one in this position.

Very cool Alan, that bend is really neat with the train in it.
Thanks Jim - I spotted the bend a couple of weeks ago flying in the area so I raced over to the aerial viewpoint when the train was coming through so I could shoot it as it passed. I photoshopped the light from red to white to make the rear locomotive look like it was coming towards me :)
