The Gulf of Mexico is beautiful all year long but I like it in the Fall, the air is more clear, the sunsets more colorful and a lot fewer people. This one is from my archives.
More colorful sunsets and fewer people? Sounds like a winning combination to me. I like the mood the long exposure imparts in this image. Very calming.
The beam of sunlight across the water, the silky water, the diagonal line from lower left, the colors the light all add up to a marvelous shot.
Thanks guys, we're having slushy/ice rain all today and I escaped to the beach (mentally). The only trouble I had was between each shot I had to reset my tripod, the sand kept shifting. Have a great weekend... MikeLiking this very much Mike! With the long exposure this feels very much like a painting.
