Fall on Kebler Pass

Hey Larry,

This is interesting. I agree the clouds in the monochrome version do have a super cool feel to them, almost 3D in nature. And the colors in the 2nd do really show off the fall season so much better. Though I did like the mottled trees in the mono version as the fall colors took on different shades of gray.

I like the color version. As to the clouds, the drama in the monochrome version can be replicated in the color version masking the skies and playing with a combination of contrast and dehaze. If this was mine, I'd clone the car out.

Minor nit, there is a dust spot in the clouds in the upper left part.

Thanks Jim I prefer the color version for the fall color effect, it is down right beautiful and shows the magnificent colors of aspen season! I thing I will take Jameel's suggestion and rework the color version and see if I can get more depth in the clouds. ;)

Thanks Jameel I will take your suggestion and work on the clouds in the color version and try to add more drama to the sky! I kind of like the car and the person taking a photo as they add a little scale to the image. ;)

Thanks for noticing the dust spot, I missed it. :(
