I thought about it a lot and decided that Colorado is just too much driving for me at that time. Sorry guys. I'm planning on rt 395 in California the first week of Oct. Nothing new, but some fav spots I have not been to in many years. Bishop to Bridgeport. Let me know. Let's meet!

Thanks for the heads up Jeffrey. I think JohnC said he was doing the Eastern Sierra, I am sure there will be others. I don’t think @Brandon Moore has shared what his plans are yet.

I had my private workshop client cancel, and my daughter is due to give birth a month later. So unless another client books me, I can only afford 1 trip to Colorado in the next 2 months, and I guess my daughter is going to take precedence over fall colors this year.

But... if anyone was thinking about wanting to go to SW Colorado for Fall Colors and wants an inexpensive Private Workshop experience please contact me. :)

Also want to ask if anybody is familiar with fall color in Plumas County (CA)? I'm thinking strongly of extending my Eastern Sierra trip another day or two to visit up there.

Early reports indicate color in the Eastern Sierra is late this year but starting to come in nicely at the higher elevations. With the color being late it looks like I may get to see areas that are often well past peak when I usually go. It also means that areas that are usually peaking nicely when I go may still be lacking some color. Given all that, I decided to extend my stay.

I'll be staying in June Lake Oct 6-10, traveling around in search of color. I'll be leaving Thursday morning the 10th and heading up to Plumas County. Don't have a room yet, but planning to stay the night in Quincy. Will spend most of Friday the 11th in Plumas County then head back south on 395 to Lee Vining where I will spend Friday night at Murphy's. Will spend Saturday the 12th chasing color somewhere before leaving that night for Lone Pine. Will probably book a room at the Dow Villa but not yet resolved. Head home Sunday.

If anybody will be in any of those areas, let me know if you want to meet up. :)
