Fall at Riverbend

Riverbend Nature Area is a fun area just north of Ft Collins in Northern Colorado. A lot of the cottonwoods have lost their leaves in some big winds not long ago, but some trees were late to the fall color scene and they are just now turning. So it's a mix of bare branches and fall colors depending on where you look, with some areas completely bare and others completely fall color. This area was 50//50.

All comments are welcome,

Jim

Wind storms seem to always arrive just as the fall color shows hit their peak and this is a good example of that in action. I am watching a similar event out of my windows today with leaf drifts piling up and bare tree branches starting to appear.

Yep, wind and fall colors seem to go hand in hand.
