Once again out hiking in Joshua Tree before the sun sets and I can then do Astro.

The upside down V is what grabbed my eye at first. But I really enjoyed how the top part of the tree, it's branches are just spreading out and becoming roots almost.

I liked this silvered duotone coloring.

Jim, the title gives me chuckles, nice tone of the photo. Well done.

Very apt title :)

Quite a few species of cacti reproduce by rooting from pieces that drop onto the ground (the whole cholla family does) although I am not sure whether Joshua trees can do that or not.

Thanks Alan!

I don't believe that's the case, I am almost positive they grow from seeds. @Douglas Sherman should know.
