Its been a while since we grew sunflowers due to attracting too many squirrels but they do look nice before they get ravaged by the wildlife.

Very cool Alan! And a Bee to boot! What a great addition to this image. Hopefully they last long. My daughter has a few around her house in Colorado, I had photographed one in the front yard a few days ago as it looked great, but then the next day I notice a bunch of petals missing and laying on the ground. So I am not sure if squirrels or 6 year old kids are the most dangerous to have around sunflowers? :)

I like the composition with the single leaf on the left to balance the flower. And the bee is a nice addition.

Thanks Jim - this is from a few years back and I honestly don't recall how long it lasted. Most of them got pretty much ravaged as the seeds ripened by both the birds as well as the squirrels. We did have some growing out in a parking strip a couple of years ago and some kid(s) whacked the tops off. They didn't actually take the bloom - just cut them off and left them. We haven't grown any since.
