Early Spring at the Bridge of the Gods

Captures this part of the gorge well. Tough light to handle but you did well.
Thanks Jameel - yeah this wasn't the best light to work with at all but I was determined to get a shot with the dusting of snow on the walls of the Gorge. It would probably look really neat right with lots more snow and ice but travel up there right now is pretty dicey and its still raining up there with an east wind still keeping the temps pretty low.

I agree you tamed that light really well. That's almost an impossible situation, but this looks really nice. The bridge really makes the image for me.

Thanks Jim - this would have been a good candidate for a Salvage thread to be honest. The scene begged for either morning light or a cloudy day but I had neither and decided to shoot it anyway. The subject was always the bridge as seen from the middle of the river.

Nice shot, this is a point of view I've never seen before! The highlights on the water really bring it to life.
Thanks Michael - you can get a water level view of the bridge from the western end of Thunder Island in Cascade Locks but not much of what things look like downstream from that spot. I have been having a blast getting aerial shots of the Gorge using a drone since the views are so much different than what we see form the various viewpoints on the ground.
