Hey Joe, what really fun shots. It does look like a fun way to spend an evening!

A few thoughts for you... :)

The first one I like except for the starburst to be bursting out of the guys neck. I think it would have been better to get the starburst in between the couple? So for that reason I prefer #4 over #1.

I like #2 a lot! No people, just the fishing poles tell a great story. This one is great!

My favorite is #5. But.... I would clone out the 4 small lens flares by the couple. You got the sun with some nice wide rays coming out of it, so the 4 small lens flare circles ended up distracting for me. But still, it's my favorite shot of these even with those.... :)

I should try this once in a while, looks like a great way to spend and evening and you got some keepers.
I set goals because I'm still learning. If I don't push different limits I won't be prepared for everything. But it was fun, I enjoy experimenting and Seeing what works.

I agree to all of what you said. Those things you pointed out did bug me. That you guy was very aminated, he think he was working overtime trying to impress the girl. I probably should have omitted that one with the star points. And I have to get better with those pesky light balls, I have to work on my lightroom skills more. Thank you so much for the honest feed back.

Fun set - I like the concept of taking one lens and working it - and that's a nice one to play with and one of my favorite lenses although it can get kind of heavy when you drag it along everywhere on long hikes.

Too bad the guy in the first shot was so animated - that's a nice shot with the boat in the background but it gets lost with the starburst coming out of the guy's neck.

The weight of the lens i'm good with, I can carry it all day. I need a hip replacement so long hikes hurt. Distance over weight hurts me more.

Nice golden silhouettes, I like them all.
Thank you :)

Oh yeah, #2 tells a complete story. Maybe the guy in #1 was using his golden voice to impress the girl? ;)
Mike
telling a story thru a photo is one of my goals when it comes to street phototgraphy so thank you so much for that! And LOL golden voice, some how I bet it was cracking like bobby brady's (the Brady Bunch) voice !
