Funny thing - I shot film all through the a980's and still have lots of scans from then but never really contemplated it's qualities in terms of trying to replicate the feel of them with digital. The one thought that does come to mind is make sure you don't sharpen the images much. Even with ISO 25 35mm film wasn't as sharp as digital. Medium format was a different story.

Your lighting might be a little too accurate too - film back then was specialized for tungsten light vs. daylight and most daylight film would be strong on orange hues with a nighttime scene like this.

Hey Dave,

That's a cool spot you found.

When you asked about the 80's feel my first thought was this didn't feel like any 80's film photos I took. Alan hit on a few key points, #1 is the photos back then were never sharp like our photos are today. So you need to soften it a bit. And also as Alan mentioned, warm it up more.

thanks. good advice. I did soften it up a bit, but the lights in the top left are not warm enough
