Desert Contrasts

One of the more interesting places to shoot interesting examples of desert topography is the Bisti in New Mexico. This is a scene from the edge of the primary basin in the wilderness area that caught my eye for it's highly contrasting rock layers along with some scattered clouds to liven up the sky.

Hmm - never thought about that angle. That might be why I tend to shoot things like this - I spent 3 summers working on Roman period archaeological sites back in the 70's.

I agree about the Roman look! My first thought on viewing was how architectural it was - and then I read of you working on Roman sites, all falls into place!

Not an area I have ever visited but it certainly always looks exciting.
