Deep in the Woods

Sandwiched between Quinault and the Hoh Rivers in the Olympic rainforest is the Queets River. Less traveled than it's neighbors and only accessible via a dirt road the Queets forest is quiet, isolated, and generally a nice place to hear no sounds from civilization. A simple scene from the Queets:

always like to see well done forest scenes, a subject I have not had much success with. Trees always seem to get in the way of my composition:) I like the way that center tree (vine maple?) is frame here. and the moss and ferns.

Hey Alan,

Very nice here. I like this forest scene. I have been by the Queets and it is a nice area.

Alan,
Very pleasing scene, good job on isolating this tree. The light penetrating into the forest adds a lot of depth here.

Very nice Alan.

Deep in the woods, like being deep in the desert. Although I'd be more worried deep in the woods as you don't know if Bigfoot is real or not and you might find out!

I will make sure I get a good shot of him if he shows up and post it in the Wildlife section :D
