I know this will go right over Jim Fox's head since he had such a wholesome growing up, but others of you will understand. I think.
These bunches were about 1 1/2 hours walk in along a road that is getting progressively more use as the quarantine goes on. Fortunately, the ATVs had yet to run over them.

"Cold hearted orb that rules the night...." You do have a somewhat globular shape to the first one but it doesn't quite have lunar qualities.

Still some neat blooms to play with.

You are so lucky to have these beautiful flowers near you, Monika. I really love that second one. One of my tricks for really nice even light is to shade them with a white shower curtain. My next post is of a Sego Lily done that way. The shade really makes the colors pop.

When I remember, I bring an umbrella with a silver outside & black inside. It was very breezy/gusty that day, so even if I had remembered it, it would have been challenging to use it.

Don't you need somebody to help you with the shower curtain?

Wind is a problem no matter what you are using to block the sun. I don't even try to photograph on really windy days.

The way I use a shower curtain is to thread a shock corded tent pole through the grommets. That way I can hold it with one hand and extend it outward in any direction to block the sun. Craig Blacklock, a very accomplished photographer from MN, actually made a tent from plastic sheeting that he made translucent by hand sanding the surface. I had one of his originals but accidently left it in a field of poppies in CA. By the time I realized it I was 200 miles away. I got another one from Craig but that one wore out from use and I finally decided it was cheaper to buy my own shower curtain. That's me with my butt and shoes sticking out of the tent at Olympic National Park below.
