I captured this about a week ago up in Minnesota. I think I have mentioned that it ended up costing me about 10 hours of driving, but it was totally worth it. The Aurora wasn't a for certain event, but I was willing to take a chance, and that chance turned out great! I captured this in Old Mill State Park in NW Minnesota, not far from the North Dakota border.
The Moon had just started to rise, and while normally one would think that the moon rising would wash out the Aurora, it actually was at it's best once the moon had risen.
All comments are welcome,
Jim
PS. There is a faint rainbow in it, or moonbow perhaps or Aurora bow?
