Cypress Morning, b&w

This is the scene I caught Sunday morning a little before dawn.
I thought the soft early morning mood would work well in b&w, too.

A very dark feel to the mood of this as a B&W. The soft reflections help reinforce that mood. This works.

I think this looks better in B&W Barry. Some of the side brush in this was slightly noticeable in the color version, but it seems to blend in better here and allow the eye to take in that fine trunk in the background.

I tend to agree with you here. Fortunately someone has recently trimmed a lot of the roadside junk out and we now have a lot more fairly open sight lines. This large one is my favorite tree in the swamp, glad you like it!
If you ever make it back to Arkansas, or anybody else for that matter, this is one of the spots I'll share.

It's definitely moody but a swamp at dawn is a beautiful place, coming alive with all the birds and animals. Where are the ducks, I know y'all have an abundance. Good stuff... Mike

Love the black & white. The only thing missing is some misty fog and this would be really spooky!
