Crabapple Blossoms

We have a few crabapple trees in our back yard that usually bloom in mid-April, but this year they are already passed peak and the petals are starting to fall. I guess the warm winter and early spring weather fooled the trees this year and certainly caught me off guard. I was a windy day yesterday, but I was out in the yard trying to capture some blossom shots without a lot of luck. I think the wind won this battle. anyway here are a couple of photos taken during my wind dance! :)

Hey Larry!

I remember as a kid growing up crabapples were so cool because they were so sour and didn't taste anything like an apple, so as a kid that was such a cool thing.

I like your captures here, you got some great detail despite the wind.

Do you guys eat the crabapples?

You didn't walk away empty handed - especially with the first image.

Hi Jim: I guess a lot of kids had a similar experience trying to eat very sour crabapples!

Thanks Jim, sometimes the wind samba does work! :)
