I hope I am not boring everyone with these shots of Mt Timpanogos. I even drove up to another place yesterday morning, but could not beat this view angle due to weather.

I have learned that in camera time lapse on the R5 is unbeatable with my current cameras. This is because it allows frame by frame exposure which the 5DSR lacks, and because it does not exhibit flicker at any shutter speeds I have tried so far. It also has a much smoother feeling than time interval shots.

So here is a collage of 3 separate in camera time lapses taken on Monday including sunset. And please don't hesitate to tell me you are tired of this scene.

CC welcome.

In all honesty it would appear that you need to leave the 5DSR on the shelf for this type of photography. The R5 hands down delivers a much more viewable result.

Thanks Alan, I am going to give the 5DSR one more chance with in camera Tl. But it will not be good for changing light.

Very cool Ben. I think I had mentioned this weeks ago, but you should just use the R5 for your time lapse and use the 5DSR for still photography. The R5 is clearly superior for video and time lapse, so I would just go with that.

This is a great sequence of time lapse. You got some awesome footage.

The R5 is better for in camera TL but about the same as the 5dsr for time intervals
