Checkerboard Mesa in Zion NP

There is no mistaking this Zion NP landmark, the first iconic view you meet if entering from the east on Hwy 9. Its summit is 900 feet above the road. The mesa gets its name from the look of the cross-bedded sandstone comprising its bulk. 665nm converted Nikon image.

I like your variant on this iconic view. When I lived in Salt Lake City this was the primary direction I always drove to get into Zion NP so I have seen this view a lot but not quite like your IR camera saw it for this image. Neat twist.
