Capturing an erupting volcano

Do you really want to fry your drone in a volcano? 😁 Beautiful still imagery from above.

I would be curious to see the flight logs in AirData for the temps he put that M2 into. I thought he was well into the danger zone long before the bottom of the drone started melting.

I know there are many things to see in Iceland but if I went watching an active eruption would be at the top of my list.

For a drone he was planning on replacing, the shots are definitely worth the price of what you can get for a used drone. Then again he could still get most of his footage without going too close to melt his drone.

I actually had seen this on my YouTube page Jameel, but hadn't clicked on it. I did now since you linked it, wow! What amazing photography and videography. I didn't realize people could get so close to the volcano! That's truly amazing.

What's funny, is when I saw this in my feed earlier, I thought the drone was lost in the volcano. And I thought how horrible because of all the video footage that would be lost. But thankfully that wasn't the case, but the "I melted my Drone in a Volcano" sounds super dramatic. And his footage is dramatic for sure, but I didn't think he was getting his drone back based on the title. So it was a nice surprise to know it did come back.
