Cape Cod National Sea Shore...

My wife and I spent the weekend up at the Cape. I made my way up to some of the more remote beaches to make a few artistic interpretations of the coast.
#1 is at Longnook
#2 is at Head of the Meadow
All comments welcome and thanks for viewing regards,

I do like seeing long exposure shots of the beach during high Sun. I feel the bubbly water has more character and less "milky" look. The non bubbly water has a more natural texture and not so metallic look.

Therefore...i like these

I like the first one for those probing shadows and nice cloud color. The second is nice for a great comp and overall balance. Is that the shadow of a person walking in the surf?

Interesting and dreamy look to both of these. I like the comp of the second one a little more since it includes the whole water line.

Yes, that is a person in the surf.

Hey Dean,

What cool shots you came up with here. #1 for me is my clear favorite, the shadows are awesome. #2 is nice, not sure about the ghost in it, maybe if the ghost wasn't so far up in the corner it would balance better with that?

Hi Dean,

I will also throw my lot in with #1. The shadows coming in from the left provide a perfect foil for the waves coming in from the right.

It's hard for me to pick, Dean. Both are great images, with beautiful use of the color sweeps, the light and soft texture. Sweet artistry here.

Tough call for me, too. I think I favor the 1st, by a little. Lovely contrasts and motion, on both. And I like the ghost!

Thanks everybody for the feedback.
I am also partial to #1 , I have printed it on a Hahnemuhle photo rag and it looks really nice !
The beaches in the north part of the cape are really beautiful and if your heading up that way send me a message I can put you in a few nice spots mostly known to the locals a friend who lives up that way tipped us off.

Dean
