Can't decide on narrowband palette...

Can’t decide what narrowband palette to use when processing wide field Crescent Nebula image. So I did them all! Or at least 13 ones I know, plus some extra processing for SHO palette.

My PixInsight AutoIntegrate script can now automatically process all narrowband HSO palettes it knows.

The dynamic HOO looks best to me, but I am not an astro guy.

Not easy to choose at all. I am also not an astro guy but I do find the HSO Mix 3 and the SHO Leave Some Green compelling.

Okay Jarmo, I am in front of my monitor. What a treat to see these variations. So many pleasing options here and I come down to 2 options I like and they are pretty similar.

For me, it's a combination of I like how the Crescent Nebula looks with that bluish feel, and then I like either the lighter green or lighter blue as the background to set off the surrounding Nebulosity.

What a fun study that helps to show just how many myriad of ways there are to mix the data to get wildly different results. I think the SHO Remove Green is a popular look, but it is popular for a reason, so I would put it in the running. The version where you have removed just some green also makes for a pleasing result. And then for me (personal taste of course) I also like the 2 HOO versions (HOO and Dynamic HOO). Would likely have to see these 2 larger to zero in on the favorite between the 2. Many of the others are very interesting, but in the end not as pleasing to the eye for me. Cool exercise (and not a little bit of work either!) - thanks for posting!
