Bug- eyed beast

It's interesting how much old agricultural machinery gets left at the edges of farms when it gets replaced. Nice example of this.

Hey Bill, what a great find! I like the B&W look here. You got just the perfect composition for it.

I am actually thinking it might still be in use and able to run by the look of the can on top of the exhaust pipe.

Yes, this one was definitely still being used. As soon as I saw those bug-eye lights, I knew there was a photo to be had. The color was a dull red that was pretty boring, so I thought I'd try a black and white version. I agree, it works good here.

Speaking of dull red- that reminds me of another photo I have, of a IH red truck! I didn't think to try the B&W thing on it. I'll take a look and maybe post the results.

The truck looks great in B&W Bill! Good thinking. :)

You have given me an idea for a future Friday's Focus theme too from these.

How far are you from the Palouse? Maybe next spring we can arrange a FocalWorld meetup somewhere in Washington.

My Daughter is going to school at WSU, so I have been to the Palouse fairly often in the last 2 years. I've fell in love with that place. I'm about 3 hrs. away, but I would gladly make the trip anytime. I just retired from my job, so I will be able to go almost anytime.
