This is Mount Hayden in the high Uintas up along the Mirror lake hwy. I camp 100 yards from where I took this along a nameless pond. It's over 10,000 feet where I camp and even in July I can expect below freezing overnight temps.

No clouds here, but I thought the intensity of the light on Hayden and the perfect reflection and green grass border made it worthwhile to show.

Totally love the Uinta's, we spent a week camping up there and another week a different year & fished Mirror Lake amongst others. Beautiful image!

Hey Ben,

This is really awesome! You are right, you don't have clouds, but that intense color on the peaks, along with the reflection are more then enough to carry this fine image!

I have camped there a couple times, it's only 80 miles from home.

My favorite escape from the summer heat when I lived in Salt Lake City. A refreshing view to see in this scene.
Yes it is, but I often freeze at night, but it's worth it. I can drive from here to Christmas meadows which is less than 25 miles before dawn. But I also camp at Christmas Meadows.

Thanks, Jim, this ultra wide shot does have a lot of color variance in the sky, even without a polarizer. I do this place at least once and often twice a year. but the season is really short. Last year snow still blocked the turn offs to the camp area so I had to go on to Christmas Meadows. And this was in Late June.
