Blackberries time.

In my area we don't have Blackberries but I do understand that they can be quite invasive. Nonetheless they have pretty fruit. This is from a walk this morning in Nanaimo on Vancouver Island.

Neat - I have been picking them (Himalayan Blackberries) along my walking/running paths for a week or so now. They are the very definition of invasive in the Pacific NW and once they take over an area it's almost impossible to get rid of them. That said they are absolutely delicious which is why someone brought them here in the first place.

It's so funny, I love blackberries! I remember when I lived up in Washington, I used to go out there and down into Oregon to gather them. Made for some great jam and pies. I had no idea they were considered invasive until years later. I just knew I loved the taste of them.

A great capture as well Trent!
