Big Thompson Canyon with the Mavic

I took the Mavic up Big Thompson Canyon today for a little flying/filming. Here's a quick edit (I am brand new to video editing, so I have a lot to learn).
The road is closed to traffic because of construction up the canyon. I might bring one of my race quads out there tomorrow :).

BTW, the Mavic makes an excellent aerial photography platform as well. The camera is a little small, but it is surprising how much detail you can pull out of the RAW files.

Hey Andrew,

That video is pretty smooth. I was surprised that it wasn't jerky at all. Big Thompson canyon is a favorite place of mine, so it was great seeing it from the air. I do think though that it was a little too long of a video though. There is too much of the same in it. Maybe that's just my short attention span though?

As for editing, Kyle wrote up a Photoshop Video editing tutorial that is in the Articles section that might be of interest.

That was 4:05 well spent. I have no video skills of my own beyond watching but I liked what I just watched. Nice scenery and I liked the fact that you didn't rush me through it.
