Big Leaf Maples at a Bend

A scene from along the Mapleton-Eugene highway with the Big Leaf maples in peak colors. There is a bend in Knowles Creek at this location so the highway, a small time railroad, and a local road all mimic the curve amongst the big maples. There is a farm directly below the drone with grazing critters to keep the grass mowed. single shot 70mm. About 1/4 mile farther down the road the skies cut loose and started dumping rain.

This is so cool Alan! Love the curves in this.

If it were mine, I would try a crop from just the top to crop down to the tree tops on the left side, to lose that hazy valley poking in back there. I think with that cropped it, it gives this a more intimate feel. Though... I do like it left in as it that peak gives this some depth too.

Thanks Jim - I did carve off a big chunk from the top to eliminate the sky and hilltops to get the frame down to the color show. I left in the top as you see it so I could include the big leaf maples going up the slopes on the right. Just scrolling your crop suggestion does look nice.
