I like to photograph wildlife. However, 2023 was the year of photographing birds.

2. Yellow-eared parrots, Colombia, South America. The yellow-eared parrot is a vulnerable parrot found in the Andes of Colombia. It was thought to be extinct up until April 1999 when 81 individuals in the Colombian Andes. The current population is 4,500.

To pick favorites, I will go with #6, 8 and 10.

I think I just opened up a magazine, or the list of finalists in a wildlife photography contest. Yikes, these are simply astoundingly well done in every way. The Toucan, Parrots, and Puffin are all standouts, and I just LOVE all the duck takeoff images! I also find myself stopping on the Tanager and the Bobcat too! VERY inspirational stuff!
