These are my best astrophotography images for 2022.
As to why and where is mainly decided randomly and more importantly where the target lies in the southern skies (the higher the better to minimize light pollution effects).

Edit: Would like to add that I have just been notified of my second APOD since starting this hobby 3 years ago. I thought the first one was a bit of a fluke but maybe this one proves I haven't been wasting my time 😂

You know... I think I have been improving with my Astro images, but then I see your best from 2022 Carlos, and the level of detail, color, texture is mind blowing, and I am going to have to just go sit in the back of the bus because I don't deserve to sit in the front of the astro bus with you. :(

I will be coming back to this group often. Even though lot's of what you captured we can't capture up here, but I am finding lot's to learn just by looking at each image, and what's making it look so awesome.

You definitely have Jim! I believe you have gotten to know your equipment, mastered it even and your processing skills as far as I can see have come leaps and bounds from the beginning, all you need now is to just keep going and try and maximize the data acquisition per target if possible to get your images to the next level.

I'm still in the middle of the bus mate and there's an empty seat beside me and I'd be proud for you to sit there on this journey !
