Better late than never
Feb on the NE coast of Scotland fairly calm seas after a huge storm

February, Deepdale The English Lake District
A much visited location. I am always hoping for the perfect mixture of dramatic light, racing water and thick snow. We are due for snow tomorrow and it has been raining for weeks so I am planning a visit tomorrow to have a look.

May in Scotland at a wedding held in a marquee a few hundred yards upstream of this lovely 18thC bridge I ended the evening of the wedding cooking pizzas for the rest of the guests as the after drinks "munchies" hit.

September Clachtoll beach, Assynt NW Scotland. We stayed for five nights in a cottage a few hundred yards away from this beach. I have added a bit of contrast to the image

October, Aberfeldy, Perthshire, Scotland
This was a one day stopover returning from the far North of Scotland. Perthshire is famous for Autumn colours but I was too early. This image is a reminder that visiting the same location is always worthwhile, different days, different light, different water levels, different colours. I will try to get back next year as I have unfinished business with this short stretch of water.

October the Hermitage, Perthshire, Scotland. The river Braan rushing past a few feet from me

November, Derwentwater, The English Lake District
I have taken this view hundreds of times and usually end up cropping the sky out but I like the dramatic clouds and the receding mist. I am unsure about the geese, they were there but I may clone them out. I waited for almost 2 hours trying to get good reflections and light on the islands.

December Aira Beck, The English Lake District
We had a cold snap in December so a short trip to view the falls although my usual viewpoint is presently unreachable due to a landslide but I was hoping for some ice and frost and wasn't disappointed. This is a small section of the main 70ft falls

I have just noted that every image here has water as a major element, perhaps I need to get out more. Ken

Stunning set - you had a really good year. I freely admit I like all the water you have shown with these scenes. The scenes from Clachtoll are beautiful and you got some really nice fall colors. I love the old bridge in the third image.

Ken, thee are really stunning images. I guess when you live around water it is bound to show up. Your ability to capture the light is quite wonderful. I will be in Scotland in May so maybe will see some similar spots.
