Before and After

I know this should probably be in the Post Processing forum, but I think it's more relevant here as it's specific to my bird photography. This is a shot straight from the camera compared to the final processed image. Work is done in LR and Photoshop and probably takes me about 2 minutes to complete, as most of the work is done by an action I generated in Photoshop. Comments and criticism welcome.

That's helpful to see, and posting it here will allow more people to see it. That's awesome that you have an action for this. I don't capture enough birds, so when I do, it's a much slower process for me to process, especially if it has white in it.

Thanks Jim, I do think post processing is often overlooked, and although getting it right during capture is desirable, it doesn't always happen, especially with wildlife.

My experience to date is that I almost always learn something new when someone else describes their processing techniques and the reasoning behind it. I do have my own techniques but am always open to suggestions on ways to improve them.
