Beaver Takeoff

Somehow I was expecting to see how a beaver was somehow launching himself with his tail when I clicked on the title :D

Interesting perspective.

Great shot! I love the diagonals, esp. the water falling off the pontoons showing how truly tilted the plane is. Did you get flown into this location on that plane?

Yes, I can see where the title could be misleading. This was from our 2016 trip. The outfitter (Papa Bear Adventures) liked this one and I made a big print for them. A long telephoto really helped compress the scene. I just started working in earnest on the book from last year on the Kanektok and have to start tying flys four our trip this year.

Thanks for the comments.

The compression really gives a former pilot a case of the puckers; takeoffs and a cliff don’t work well together ;). Fantastic shot and I love it in b/w.
