Bear Lake Burn

Okay, so I copied my title just a bit from Kyles Vermillion Burn, but it seemed to rhyme. My Burn is more like a flame compared to Kyles really true Burn, but hey I liked the title is my only defense.

I shot this a little bit ago, I was in Colorado and met up with Alisa and we were testing out our new D850's up in RMNP up at Bear Lake. This ice doesn't have nice methane bubbles, but the ice did still seem to add a nice touch to the image.

All thoughts are welcome,

Jim

That does look like a fire in the mountains. The ice makes a nice foreground. I wonder if a little more contrast might bring it's the glow in the ice a little more.

This is a pretty tasty scene - nice place to play with your new camera. I like the irregular reflection off the ice.

Lovely place, and a cool looking image of it (I mean it both ways). You found some interesting ice, don't worry about what you didn't get.

Thanks Kyle, yeah, I think I could add a bit more contrast to the ice area.
