Australian Birds Part 1

So, it has been a while since I visited or posted on this website, for various reasons. However, I had the wonderful opportunity to visit Australia for 3+ weeks this fall. Sydney (New South Wales), Queensland, Northern Territory and Tasmania. Almost all the over 200 species seen and identified were new for me. I will post my favorites in several parts. (In order top to bottom)

Laughing Kookaburra, Superb Fairywren, "not so laughable" Kookaburra, Sulphur-crested Cockatoos, Ditto, Rainbow Lorikeet, Ditto, Noisy Miner

Wow Michael! Know you have been missed, your photography is always a joy and is special to view.

So many great birds you got here. #3,4 and 6 are my favorites of all of these great images. #3 is really spectacular.

Marcy Yes we had our guides from Wild Latitudes based in Portland, OR and a local guide for Queensland and Northern Territory and a separate guide for Tasmania. There are lots of birds including in the parks in and near Sydney!
