Aurora Alert for Saturday Oct 30th

There is an alert for a solar storm tomorrow night. I will link an article when I get a chance.

I am looking into it, for me it's an 8 to 12 hour drive to get far enough north from here in Colorado, but most of the locations I have looked into so far are showing partly to considerable cloudiness. So that's not good. And also, the grandkids are expecting me to be here for Halloween, so that provides a double dilemma for me.

@Ben or @Alan Maybe you can drive north? One forecast said it would get down into Oregon. @Bob Israel and @TimMc maybe you guys can get some clear skies tomorrow?

Weather forecast half an hour ago suggested we will. Trying to figure out where to shoot. Seriously thought about going up to Silver
City Sunday night just to get to Lake Superior, but Halloween probably rules that out.

You look to have perfect weather for it in Washington, you should delay your trip to Florence by a day.

Weather has cleared but the aurora is still far north in Canada over Hudson Bay. It might be a late night . . .

It looks like they overestimated the strength of the Aurora, it doesn't seem to be anywhere near close to the northern states.

Weather for me was still an issue, too many clouds. So maybe next time.
