Arch Rock at Corona Del Mar

Seems often I go to the beach when there are no clouds. This was on of those days.

You did a great job making that side light work well in this composition. The shadows of the rocks look nice, and give the foreground depth. Nice action displayed with the water running off after the wave passed. Nice golden color too.

I like the way this shot works. I have seen more than a few days with stark raving clear skies and it wreaks havoc on getting a shot.

What shutter speed did you use for this? For the waves you had the effect on the water is nice.

Even without clouds that soft golden light is great. It's cool how Arch Rock changes it's shape as you work the different angles of it.

Nice angled light and just enough slow shutter for some draping waves while still capturing other wave shapes due to different speed of waves.
