Another Welcome Surprise

Yesterday was dull and overcast all day, and it was expected to stay that way all night and then rain today. But at 7pm last night, when I took the dogs out, the sky was clear and looked like it'd last for a little while. I quickly set up my Benro Polaris with my astro-mod Canon 300D and Rokinon 100mm f/2 lens to shoot the Running Chicken Nebula in wide-field. I only managed around an hour of 45-second captures at ISO3200 and f/2.5, but the image is at least not worthy of being trashed. Definitely a subject I'll be shooting again with this rig.

You really scored! You have been just nailing it, I like this one and hope you can get some more time on it.

I am currently out in Joshua Tree. Finally a clear night that I am free. The wind died down so I have the Seestar S50 working on the EQ Mount, and then my regular Astro rig with the AM5 Mount and the 2600mc Pro and Askar Fra500.

So finally i know the feeling of imaging again!

Excellent - amazing to see that venerable 300D still working and doing such a great job! My first DSLR was a 350D - I still have fond memories of that camera and it firmly put me into the Canon camp from that point on.
