Another image from Borrowdale

Yet another crepuscular ray image from Borrowdale. Processed this week for the first time only 4+years after capture. One of my personal success criteria for photographs is It must be obvious what attracted me to the scene. Of course whether it attracts the viewer is another thing entirely and whether I have made the best of the situation in terms of composition. This can be difficult for the viewer to assess unless you know the area or I have captured enough of the wider area to give context and allow the viewer to see whether better alternatives are possible. Apologies for being in preacher/ teacher mode as I am presently producing a short'ish camera club talk. My title for this image is "Cumbria's prettiest car park but you will have to look closely to spot the cars. Ken

I love the patchy light and especially down in front. Looks like early fall judging from the leaf colors.

I might be inclined to use the healing brush on the motor vehicles if this were mine.

Thanks for the comments Alan. 22nd October which is still fairly early Autumn here, first week in November is usually our peak. I will remove the sunlight glittering off the windscreens and think about removing the rest of the cars. Ken

When Alan suggested to remove the cars, my first inclination was to agree with him. But then I saw Ben's comment where he said he would leave them. So I scrolled back up to view the image with a fresh set of eyes, and I think I agree with Ben. The cars don't jump out at you, but visually as you follow the rays from the upper right down to the ground, they land almost totally on the cars. Which to me is perfect. The cars almost become like a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow. The more I think about it, it's almost like the cars give those crepuscular rays meaning and purpose.
