The forecast was for clear skies yesterday so I got my tripod set up in advance so that I could hit the ground running when darkness fell. Unfortunately it started out quite cloudy and I was all set to give up my plan, but at around 8:45pm it seemed to clear up enough to make my effort worthwhile. I set my Canon 600D up with a power bank and lens warmer on my Benro Polaris and set the thing to go until the batteries died, which turned out to happen at around 3am. By the time I culled the bad frames I was left with 337 30-second subs, shot at ISO1600 with a 50mm lens at f/2.2, which I calibrated with darks, flats and dark-flats in Pixinsight.
