First one is a female Anhinga, the second a male and the third a male with a soft shell turtle. That last one is a super heavy crop also.

Wow Joe! It almost looks like they have fur on their neck! What cool detail. The closeup in #1 is my favorite, but I like the other 2 also, and I like the inclusion of the turtle in #3.

They are interesting for sure, the eye marking is durring breeding season from what I understand.

From my understanding it's part of their Breeding Plumage along with the extra feathers on the neck that are a lighter color.
