Anemone Blooms +edit

One more from our backyard flower beds. It's still a bit early in the spring for most of our deciduous trees to have leaves so most of the vistas that would work well for IR are a bit short of the mark for what I want to shoot. My wife's flowers will have to suffice as a target for now.

590nm with channel swap.

C&C always welcome.

Edit: I decided the original needed a bit more pop to it so I selectively added a bit more contrast to the blooms:

Nice one Alan, I like the reddish colored veins in the flowers and the color contrast between flowers and leaves.
Thanks Ben - kinda fun trying to decide what gets emphasis. The flowers are blue in visible light.

Wow, another super IR flower shot. You are really working the flowers so well.
Thanks Jim - I don't have a wide range of targets with rainy weather at the moment so my wife's garden is the main event. I think I get a few sunny days this weekend before I lose my window to play for a while.

WOW! Have you been secretly doing IR for a while without telling us? Superb shot and processing, I like you original one the best.

Interesting. Almost appears to be flowers blooming among fall foliage.
Thanks Kurt - that's part of the fun with IR.

Nice rendering in IR. These blooms give a very different feel. You are getting a nice feel for IR already.
Thanks Jameel. I had some ideas on where I wanted to go with IR and am just figuring out how to get there.

Thanks Amy - still very much at a learning stage to be honest.

Now that is an interesting look, Alan. It makes for a nice image.
Thanks Doug.

Looking at your edit, I kept scrolling up and down between the two and couldn't decide which I liked best. The soft feel of the original is pretty cool, but then I do like the more detail in the flowers too. I think both work for me.

Thanks Jim - I wanted just a bit more pop in the middle of the flowers than the first one had so I made use of the History Brush to add the additional contrast.
