American Pyramid Arch at Night

Not sure on the title :) but I am sure I am happy with how this pano turned out from Ames Memorial in Wyoming that I captured the other night.

This is 7 vertical frames. I didn't get the Pyramid perfectly centered under the arch of the Milky Way, so at the final stage of processing where I did a small crop, I moved the Pyramid over more to the left in the frame itself letting it balance hopefully with the Milky Way core and the small barn on the horizon. Hopefully that works at least, I do have plenty of space to reframe the crop if I decide after looking at it a while more.

I see how you would have liked the Memorial more to the right.......sigh.....you couldn't just ask the MW to shift itself? ;)

Thanks Monika!

Well... if I was like the majority of photographers (it seems) who now use trackers to capture the Milky Way and then composite it onto a previously captured ground layer, I could have easily moved the Milky Way over to center it better on the Pyramid.

But that's not my style. Plus, this I think gives it a little character. :)
