Along the Extraterrestrial Highway

Nevada HWY 375 is called the Extraterrestrial Highway for it's passage alongside the notorious "Area 51", the common name of a highly classified US Air Force facility within the Nevada Test and Training Range. It is a very remote area, the last I time I drove it, I counted a total of 6 cars going the opposite direction over the entire 96 mile route. It offers some beautiful desert scenery throughout the drive - a great destination for landscape photography. This image with a 665nm converted Nikon.

An alien look for an alien place I like how the Joshua trees look with this IR band.

I have driven that. To the Landscape photographer this is not an Alien land!

Very nice image, I like the IR processing on this. I like how you ground ends up being a grey feeling. I like that look, but lack it in mine that I process.
