Alley scenes

C&C welcome. (I considered taking these to b&w but I liked the color contrasts too much. :) )

1) Alley off another alley.

That first one has details that bespeak some history to that scene. A little on the gritty side. The scene in the second one also has some aspects that leave me wondering about the sequence of building/remodeling that led to what we see.

You are correct. The white building on the left in the 2nd image is by far the newest. If I'm not mistaken it was actually re-built sometime in the 80's. The others, except the glass fronted skyscraper in the bg, have just been painted over many times.
I find the variety of colors and textures quite interesting.

That is one narrow alley in #2. I like the color contrasts in #2, but I would sure like to see #1 in B&W. I think the all of the electrical and the close view of that gate that B&W would make it more dramatic.
