A visit to the Wall

Since I'm still in a Memorial Day mindset, these came to mind.

These were taken back in October when I visited the Vietnam Memorial Wall for the 1st time.
There's a lot in this that is personal, both my time over there & the loss of a classmate.
I will go back again

This is taken at a high ISO as I didn't want the visitors completely blurred.

This the traditional "name rub" from the wall of my classmate

It's traditional for friends & comrades to leave a memento & this was mine that I had presented for our class members on Memorial Day last year.

These last two were planned, as I did the honors & my brother wanted to record it.

I was a bit old for Vietnam, but I honor those who served and you for your service.
Ben, at the VA, did meet a guy who was drafted at 27 in 1966. I new a few officers over there that were three war vets, having flown missions at the end of WWII. They were my dads's age.
Thanks
