A Sticky Propostion

In a local park in Fullerton, California the other day I was playing around more with my newly converted Nikon D7100 to 590nm IR, and I found this cool hill with cactus on it. So I decided to play with it a bit to see how it would come out. This one has a Custom WB, but probably not the correct Custom WB. But, I liked the way it looked. I am guessing I am in my weirder is better color mode with IR. I am guessing I will grow out of it some day and go back to "normal" IR coloring.

Interesting - but it does remind me of some of my oldest slides and negatives that have suffered from color transitions due to old age and bad storage handling.

The 18-200mm. It was soft on both edges, I had to use a layer mask and sharpen the outside a lot more to make the sharpness uniform. I thought the issue was only when I shot wide, but I was at 78mm I think here, so I don’t know now. I am glad I could make the whole image look sharp, but I wish I didn’t have to. On a good note, there is no hotspots with this lens, so at least I don’t have to deal with that.
