A Run Through Joshua Tree

On my way to where I was going to set up to shoot timelapse of the sunset into the night sky, I stopped at this area that is by the Jumbo Rocks campground. So many cool looking rocks. I needed to get some running in for the day, so this was a great place to run. I grabbed my GoPro Hero 7 Black and went running.

This was shot in Timewarp and at 10x speed on it. When I took it into Movavi I then slowed it down to 50% Speed.

Now maybe it's the limit of the tiny 12mp sensor in the GoPro, but I didn't realize until I ran it full screen that the resolution is a bit lacking I will try to say politely.... :)

Like a lot of our timelapses in here, we are sharing and learning. For the best viewing, don't watch this full screen. :)

Great tour, too bad it was the time of day that cast a shadow of you holding the camera. But I love the scenery.

Thanks Amy. Yeah, I didn’t like the shadow either though, but I have watched it enough times it’s growing on me... :)

But yeah, I did a video running the other direction so my shadow was avoided mostly, but the terrain ended up not feeling as appealing. So yeah, a lesson learned. I need to do these ones closer to noon.

Man you are one fast runner. Great little video too.
Thanks Ben! :)

I have to figure out why this was not as sharp as I had been getting from the GoPro. I did the same timewarp from GoPro last night at the beach with crashing waves, and everything is tack sharp. So I have figure out what I might have done wrong, or it's simply the result of my running too fast. :)

Good place for a parkour course assuming there is no cholla around :)
Ha ha, fortunately no cholla in that area. Of course I still managed to skin the side of my calf getting too close to a boulder... they are like sand paper... so I have a nice 4" wide scrape on my leg.
